Well, then what in your opinion would be an acceptable profit for Wal-Mart to make? If you want to have the discussion, let's at least try and establish what your parameters are.

I'm surprised to hear that red Lobster is failing. I lived in a smaller city for a few years and began to notice that the Red Lobster was always packed. I eventually became curious and tried to go eat there several times just to see what the attraction was but it was always a 45 min+ wait.
Now whenever I travel I always take note of the Red Lobster parking lots when I pass by and they always seem to be packed. I don't get it... it's not like it's inexpensive. It costs just as much as it would to go to an actual legit restaurant.

Well then they clearly can't make whatever then. Your sentence contradicts itself. You're the one that wanted to debate it. How much profit should Wal-Mart be allowed to make?

Well, their biggest problem is the rise of good local restaurants. They are taking more of the market share and leaving chains with an unsavory customer base.
ETA: This is due to the rise of technology and social media. Since people can connect with each other and recommend good local places, many people have bypassed traditional chains for an overall better dining experience that has left chained restaurants scrambling to find a viable long term solution that will stop the bleeding of revenue.

The rise of food trucks has also helped. People have the ability to put out good food without all of the start up and overhead typically associated with a restaurant. I'd much rather eat something like that than riblets from Applebees. All of those chains are like eating from the frozen food section of Sam's Club.

So, you want posters to debate something that you can't even give a single figure on? You think they should give more to their employees than what they already are. Great. How much? What EBITDA % is fair for the corporation to have? What will it cost to make their employees make ends meet as you said?
If you want someone to discuss a topic with you, probably best to have more than what you "feel" should be how things are.

EDIT: and yes, I don't know what EBITDA % means. Learn me

Wait, I'm part of the problem because I don't agree with your assertion that is based solely on your feelings and has no supporting arguments to sway my opinion one way or the other? Are you saying only those that agree with your generalities are normal, rational people?
You called out a poster for not wanting to debate a topic that you aren't even remotely prepared to debate. You definitely are not the person for them

Yikes. Thinks you have the answer on how a company should be run, don't know what earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, amortization is. I won't say I'm surprised.

Millennials are to blame for shitty restaurants not having people coming in to eat their shitty microwaved food.
Do you really think most of the entrees at chain restaurants come in fully cooked and are just microwaved like a tv dinner?

When Chili's first went nation-wide in the early/mid 80s, it was a burger and beer joint chain that also served chili. And it was EXCELLENT.
Then the menu turned into a phone book.

Who has argued this? All I have done is given the absolute bare minimum amount of questions to get some type of data to support taking something away from someone. Maybe you just don't know what normal or rational means.
