Took me 3 tries, stress fractures both feet during the initial phase, broke the small bone in my right leg during the low level insertion...but other than that i killed it!!!

300 PFT'er every time while I was in the Marines. 18:00 minute 3 mile run, 20 pull ups and 100 sit ups in two minutes. Nice warm up you'll be doing tomorrow soldier.

don't quite know what you mean by this, but a buddy of mine is a MTI and he said you cannot curse, belittle, touch or haze anyone anymore or you will be reprimanded.

Too long ago. I can't remember.

Never even got to Benning phase bro. Was so focused on getting my five mile run down that I did no work (none) on my pullups. Bolo. No one to blame but myself.
But congrats to you for having the balls to make it through.

Different day, you could stay if it was a two three week heal, they send your arse back to your unit now.

I never trained to pass the test or had any rituals (USAF here ).
That said, I've been on a no-run profile for the past year and am in the best shape of my life because I have to find creative ways to do cardio.
Good luck w/ the APFT

Just eat rice couple days before and hydrate well days leading up u should be good. Never understood all the nervousness about PT tests. I seen dudes light up before and after the run.

That's a tactic. If I didn't smoke before the run I'd lose 30 secs.

This. I think it's a military culture thing that perpetuates it, tbh.
My wife is in ridiculous shape and has never scored less than a 95 on her PT test and still frets about it for months on end. It's ridiculous

I used to fast the night before...basically so I wouldn't have to crap during the run.
Now that I'm older, I just make sure I finish dinner before it gets dark and pound water before bed.
Also, now that I'm in my late 30's, I take 2 alleve/motrin before bed and 2 before I leave the house on PT test days.
As far as "BOLC", that didn't exist when I commissioned.
It was OBC for Lieutenants and the Career Course for Captains. Both were a joke to put it lightly and without CAS3, the Career Course was even more so.
ILE was actually fairly rigorous coursework, but manageable once you figured out what you actually needed to read.

If you are worrying about a PT test then you are not really prepared.

quote:damn right.. But Rileytime is right, I got in trouble for Pt'ing Marines with a Humvee tire. Doing lunges and squats with it. I did it with them. What ever.... I love the PFT. Watching fat bodies try and get out of it, people trying to bribe / influence who ever has the clipboard.
