I think that other countries with similar cultures could have taken more of the refugees. It will take generations for very conservative Muslims to accept laws governing basic rights Europeans live by.

There was actually a pretty big win in Switzerland regarding immigrant children in schools. The idiot parents wanted their daughters segregated and not taught certain things with the boys. The court heard the case and sided against them saying it was essentially ridiculous.
So maybe these kids have a shot at assimilating and being saved by their idiot parents. I'm hopeful at least.

You are right, I read an article this morning about a Swiss court not accommodating demands to separate boys and girls in pools.
Assimilation will happen eventually but it will be a long process. The European citizens are surely under a lot of stress. I think that some of the refugees - especially those that do not respect women - would have been more comfortable in a majority Muslim country. Europeans are not prudish at ALL and I'm sure a lot of refugees are disgusted by their new environment. They come from areas where women and sex are viewed very differently.
In many decades Europe will recover from this, but I absolutely do NOT want it to happen in America on the same scale.

Yeah I think that the European liberals (despite any good intentions they might have) are doing the continent a disservice by accommodating any old social norms these immigrants might have. We just need to accept that certain aspects of certain cultures are objectively bad and need to be weeded out.
Unfortunately, a lot of those shitty aspects are tied to their shitty religion which makes assimilation a little more difficult. But it's certainly not impossible, they just can't be encouraged to carry on certain shitty ancient traditions.

Unfortunately, with Germany leading the charge, it won't change any time soon. Looks like the Germans will do absolutely anything to make up for what happened 75 years ago. Even if it means the possible destruction of their own society.

It is a win for the Swiss, but it shouldn't have gone to court in the first place. It's disturbing that the Muslim groups behind this felt that they should be able to force others to accommodate them.
Swiss males and females will keep swimming together as usual, and some parents of Muslim girls will simply not allow them to go swimming or do other sports.

Well bullshite stories like this don't help. It just feeds the fire and diminishes when real incidents happen. This is as bad as a BLM protestor sending threatening tweets to herself. No matter what side you're on, you should be against misinformation.

I completely agree. But telling women not to dress a certain way so they don't provoke these immigrants (Cologne mayor) doesn't give your citizenry any affirmation that their security is important.

We completely agree. I try to be respectful of all religions, but Islam has some major modern problems.

Agreed.
I honestly think we win this war by having a better culture. We show them how much better life can be through assimilation, don't coddle their stupid traditions (I mean I guess we can coddle the non stupid ones). Swiss life and culture is much better than anything their native countries can offer, once that choice is made clear and unapologetically, I think most will assimilate.
