He says there that we shouldn’t choose their leaders for them, never mentioning the fact that Venezuelans aren’t allowed to choose their leaders either and play in fake elections.

Solid way to ignore all the other issues at hand with Venezuela. Their country has fully collapsed. The currency is worthless. Yet their dictators stay in power against the will of their people, often with violence and force. They are almost single handedly keeping the Cuban dictatorship afloat with their oil.

Cuba and Venezuela, two countries who export nothing to the US except their people, many trek through the most dangerous jungle in the world to get here. I’ve been to Cuba, I’ve been to the Colombia Venezuelan border region, met people that have fled.

If you’re not going to grant political asylum to these people, help them take back their countries. Here we have millions of people that are refugees, going anywhere that will take them, all over the Americas

Not our country. Not even the worst offender on the planet. Why arent we taking the rest on?

Trump is picking on a weakling to prop up his image. Nothing that happens in Venezuela will affect any Americans who dont have ties to that country

Lol. Jesus Christ. Some of you are hopelessly devoted to dumbass ideas. They weren’t recruited, there is nowhere for them to go. They fled to third world and developing countries first. They’re all full and poor as frick to begin with, so they don’t want anymore.

As of late 2024, approximately 7.9 million Venezuelans have migrated due to the ongoing crisis, with the vast majority (85%) residing in Latin America and the Caribbean, particularly Colombia, Brazil, Ecuador, and Peru.

The United States has seen an increase in Venezuelan immigrants, with about 770,000 living there as of 2023. The demographic profile of migrants has shifted from primarily professionals to include more individuals from lower-income households as the crisis has worsened.
Regional breakdown
Total migrants: Approximately 7.9 million Venezuelans have left the country.
Latin America and the Caribbean: Around 6.7 million migrants (85% of the total) live in this region.
Colombia: Remains the primary destination, hosting over a million migrants.
Other key destinations: Ecuador, Peru, and Brazil have also received significant numbers.
United States
Total US immigrants: As of 2023, there were approximately 770,000 Venezuelan immigrants in the U.S..
US-Mexico border crossings: The number of Venezuelans crossing the US-Mexico border has increased, with 262,633 encounters in 2023.
Humanitarian parole: As of December 2024, 117,330 Venezuelan nationals had entered the U.S. under humanitarian parole programs.
