Midsummer what's in the bag thread

Everyone should be in full swing now, and you've probably made some changes.
Driver - Covert w/ 70 g KuroKage stiff (will be the next club out of the bag)
3w- 13* Titleist 904f w/ Fuji Speeder stiff
Irons- Titleist 690.cb 3-pw w/ tour issue S400 (newest addition)
Wedges- 52,56,60 Cleveland CG12
Putter- odyssey white ice #2

ok so I'm down to the titleist AP1 or the TM rsi1 irons? Give me some real life experiences. Getting fitted for whatever set I go with so length, shaft, lie of club should be accurate. Currently using Adams Idea a70s hybrids/irons with graphite shafts.

Never hit either, but I know he rsi are supposed to be forgiving if that's what you're looking for

why not get fitted for the heads to then? Go hit both and see which one is better for you

I'll be buying new irons soon. It's down to AP2 714's or Callaway Apex Pros. Anybody hit these outside? I've hit em at EW, but hitting off turf in the sim tells me nothing, they both felt good. I've also read that the apex pros wear down rather quickly. Can anyone attest to that?

Yeah that's what I did. Hit several manufacturers heads and found one I liked. I did find that for me the shaft made more of a difference than the head did. I ended up with Mizuno MP54'2 with project X 6.5 shafts.

You cannot for wrong either way.
The Calllaways are LONG!!! I picked up a club almost club and a half on them. They do want to draw, so keep that in mind. I snap hooked them the first few range sessions.
Again, both sets are great.
ETA: just saw your last question. The finish wears off quick but that doesn't affect play. They just lose the matted silver look.
