You can buy a Colorado LT for 35-36k. A full sized in a similar trim is going to be 45-50k.

Tacoma, I've had three, 200,000 miles is just getting broke in. They have by far the best resale value, owner satisfaction and reliability.

I already have an 09 Chevy Crewcab and a 16 Colorado Z71. Both of which have over 100k miles. I was just asking the OT board for opinions. I'll hit the OB side.

If it’s just getting broken in, why did you get rid of them?

Still have one now, with 110,000 miles. Had a 2009, sold with 209,000 miles, wanted a new truck. Bought a new 2019, a girl ran in the back, I wanted Apple CarPlay, traded it in, bought a 2021, gave him my credit card, cost about $6,000 different. They are the best in class. The best resale by far. Helps my friend owns a dealership.

Currently driving a 22 Tacoma TRD OR. Bought it with the intention to give it to my boy when he starts driving.
Pros: As stated they have good resale. I like being able to park in smaller spaces. Pretty reliable especially for a first vehicle for when the boy goes to school.
Cons: it is smaller so not really realistic to take friends to dinner.(double cab). For the size I expected better fuel economy.

Last week I took it in for service/ oil change. The salesman I got it from tossed me the keys to a new Tundra and said try it out while you wait. I was pleasantLy surprised by it. I was strongly considering a Silverado when my boy gets the Tacoma but I’d definitely look at a Tundra now. As I get older I’m more into comfort and the Ram has a nice interior but I have a hard time overlooking what Stellantis has done to the old Dodge/Ram.

Check out Honda Ridgeline,seriously.
I have a 2010 Tacoma 4x4 I gave to grandson, never had any trouble with it.
Bought the Ridgeline Trailsport in September and really, really like it.Rides like a dream.like the 2 way tailgate, storage under the bed.
Only 5’000 lb towing capacity but that’s all I need.

Doesn’t cost anything to look at one, take a test drive.

I remember doing an antenna repair on it. Like I said, it's going to take a few minutes. An it did. Easy repair.

I have a Ridgeline also. Rides better than most trucks. I’m seeing a lot more of them on the road.

Tacoma or frontier if you are keeping it more than 3 years.

Well, except for the little issue that Nissan may not be around for three more years.

The Ranger now has the F150 2.7 in it. It is an engine with solid longevity. The new Taco engines are still in their teething troubles phase. Toyota seldom introduces an all-new engine, but when they do, they have a history of significant problems.

Nissan Frontier SV 4x4 6 ft bed

Almost completely made in USA. Engine made in TN, assembled in Canton, MS.

Naturally aspirated V6 engine. Trans is joint design with Mercedes, they go in everything. Overbuilt trans that is also used in the Titan.

Look carefully and investigate before buying a Nissan. They are allegedly in financial difficulties, with as little as 12 - 14 months left before closing up shop.

If true, consider what effect that info could have on getting the vehicle serviced, possible warranty claims, and God forbid, the availability of body parts in the event of an accident.
