Middle school bullying video goes viral. Internet loses its mind

Obviously no one condones bullying. That said does anyone else think this seems a bit mild for the reaction is is garnering? Apparently the video has been viewed 9 million times. The social media comments are incredible. Over and over I've seen adults at they would beat the crap of the girl who did this. She looks to be about 12.

The teacher has no control in that classroom. I don’t understand why all teachers don’t take up phones to start class. Also, if the teacher was working with another group, the rest of the class should still be in their line of sight.

White trash screwing up a classroom while the teacher does nothing. People are reacting because it could be their kid hit in their freebee school. That's why I send my kids to private school. That fat bitch either doesn't get in, or gets the boot after the first punch at another.

Because they’re power is generally very neutered and can’t do jack shite.
Often if kids are little shits they just come back to class later or the next day
My wife has a nightmare kid this year and admin isn’t doing crap about him. She’s taught 8 years and only has minor problems. But this kid is mentally disturbed or something. Doesn’t do work. Hits, kicks, spits on kids and adults. Won’t respond to any sort of attempt at positive reinforcement. Or punishment so she and the kids just suffer.
I would think he should be suspended or go to alternative school but he’s one of the few black kids in the school so I bet that comes into play. He alway comes back from admins office 20 minutes later or the next day in the case of when he kicked my wife.

How could a teacher not notice that? Upon further review the different area of the classroom where the teacher was working with students appears to be right there at the board. Makes it even worse.
