No, because you believe if i don't agree with your take, then i must be the extreme polar opposite, corporate culture, abuse them until they quit, and those that want to be here will stay, types. It's tiring to have to spoon feed you the nuance of normal people.
What fricking nuance have you shown in this tread?
quote:
Again, you want me to spoon feed you. Start replying to other people, you are tiring.
Probably tiring because you overwork yourself like some chump.

The problem is, NO ONE wants to even work, int he first place.
No one wants to work at the rate you are providing. That's a you problem, not everyone else

Reading comprehension is terrible in this thread. Try again.
So you didn't say you did that nonsense for 4 years?

why?
Is all your extra time at the office worth it in the long run?
Yes. Looking back on it, it helped me gain some valuable experience. Not saying i would work anyone underneath me the same way, as that company was notorious for abusing new hire staff.

If you died tomorrow how long would it take them to forget about you.
I was in my 20's. I wasn't "dying tomorrow".
quote:
Would your kids wish they had spent more time with you?
I didn't have my kids until i was in my early 30's. The work i put in then, gave me a lot of experience early on and allows me the time i spend with my kids now.

Yea man, no one ever dies unexpectedly. We will all are guaranteed long lives. You are so out of touch.

Cool, I spend a shite load of time with my kids now and have a great career. Didn't have to work 6 days a week for 4 years to do it either.

I did. I was straight out of college. I was raised by parents that taught me I had to earn my way through hard work. And seeing as it was my first real job, i assumed this is just how things are. I also assumed it would get better, which at that company, it barely did, but not enough for me to stay. What was worse than the hours, though, were the people. A lot of corporate kiss asses, all of whom thought the only way to get ahead was to kiss arse, and screw your co workers over. I left the company when i went to a manager's meeting and was handed a book about how great the founder of the company was. I didn't take to the brainwashing.

You're right. No one in their 20s has ever died before. My bad.

So where is the supposed lack of reading comprehension? This is just my opinion, but I think saying someone that did that for 4 years is retarded is fair.

Sigh. Are you really unable to comprehend what i type? I wasn't "dying tomorrow" meaning i was young, and wasn't thinking about that, and when you're young you think you will live forever. Again, spoonfeeding.

So you quit an "abusive and unfair" work environment to go work somewhere else, yet this is exactly what young people are doing right now (or trying to avoid altogether) and you call them "entitled"

Absolutely i do. But it's only when i have to, usually closing out projects. It's doesn't happen regularly.

Spoonfeeding me shite isn't helpful.

Sorry for not being a mindless drone throwing away my youth in an office. I can see how people like you would be royally bothered by people like me though, so I get it.

1) Why are you so angry at my response of "K"?
2) I never said i was in an office, or at least not in one full time.
3) I don't care what you do with your career. You can be the best basket-weaver in Kansas for all i know. Good for you! Keep up the good work.

Wow, i respond with "K" and now i am "royally bothered by people like you"? Take your pills.
