Yea but "haircut" isn't trashy. "Metry", "Mardi Gras" and "Fat Tuesday" are trashy. Hell, even "Tuesday" is trashy because it sometimes falls on the 1st.

If you go around Bonnabel and get a good spot early in the morning it's not too bad.
Beats the hell out of being on Severn or in front of a bar on Veterans.
Krewe of Argus isn't bad, but the 250 or so trucks that come after it is a shitshow. Epic people watching to say the least.

Some of the best people watching there is. And you get to just stand there while they scroll past you like an interactive, white trash cyclorama. One that hurls beads and throws from other krewes at you as it goes by.

I don't know, my sister road in Selene in Slidell, so I told her we would go see her. We were on Front street by the Tymes bar and grill and was surrounded by a bunch of Pearl River slurps...

I prefer going to the city but because I still have a younger child, we find a family oriented place in Metairie. The mood depends on where you go, tbh.
