Both shootings a few hours apart and somewhat close to each other.

One across from St. Mary Magdalen - not exactly a bad area. The other one on Elm near Airline - a more sketchy area but not hood, right?

Police aren't saying if they are related.

Guess y'all miss the sheriff turned talk show host, huh?

UPDATE: A third shooting this afternoon in same general area (by OLDP church) has two dead.

I grew up on Henry Landry, more towards Airline but that is still very close to that shooting by SMM

but it was unclear when the crime actually happened.

First shooting...

Weird detail, and did it even happen there...?

That second one though, on N Elm, is in a shite area where shootings happened before... at 3:41 in the AM as well...

Looks like the perfect place to get shot...

That's a nice neighborhood, and better since the parish appropriated those apartment complexes and have added onto Mike Miley.

N Elm is almost exclusively 4 & 6-Plex cheap rentals.

No Elm Street is a shithole and has been for years. But the shooting on West Metairie is concerning. I grew up not far from there. A couple of months ago I took a ride through my old neighborhood and it’s pretty sketchy

Yep... I wish I could go back it time... I'd tell JP officials not to zone all those apartments they built in the 70's that are shite now...

True in some areas, but the east side is on fire with real estate/home prices.

This is true. All around me people are buying cottages built post WW2 and tearing them down to build huge houses.

It's just gotten stupid. I live in a smaller house that we purchased on the cheap and did a renovation. Two houses down for me the new construction house sold for like $800K.
Another one went up on the same block and was around $650K.

Two more are about to be built in the same block.

What?

You do realize that's good for you right...?

We live in 70001, and our house appraised much higher now than the original purchase price in 2011...

Yeah, but the wife has it her head that we need to move to a bigger house in the same neighborhood.
I’m not about to give in with this market being what it is

Is this the parish/church that was just merged with another church? I can't find it on Google.
