And a happy eighth night of Hannukkah! It truly is joyous when the two overlap, and this year’s confluence provided one of the truly great stories.
As you undoubtedly know as a son of New Orleans, Trinity Episcopal Church is currently unable to use their sanctuary for services as it is still being repaired of damage suffered during Hurricane Ida.
So last night, on the seventh night of Hannukkah, Temple Sinai opened its doors to Trinity for Christmas Eve services. Members of the temple even volunteered to set up the temple to welcome worshipers of Christ.
It’s a reminder that so much of cultural and historical hate, prejudice and division largely disappears as amongst friends and neighbors.
Merry Christmas and Happy Hannukkah to all!

TulaneLSU,
I am just seeing this and I hope you and your family had the best Christmas possible.
May the lord bless you.

Merry Christmas friend. I enjoyed your pic of the manger in your post. My favorite pic of Jesus is when a few friends got together and lowered a paralytic man thru the roof to be healed. We could all use friends like that.

Praise be to he that giveth. The light of the Holy Saints of yesteryear bring blessed tidings to us all in times of woe. May Crom bless your swords, strike down your foes, and let everyone hear the lamentation of the women.
