As stupid as all of that looks now, I'd like to see how society views hipster fashion 30 years from now.

If you were around in the 70"s you know this is the only semi-representative fashion that you might see on the main streets.

The rest of that hot garbage was likely only popular in the San Francisco bath houses and Studio 54.

Do you know what a twink is?

6'5" 260 pounds is not what we in the gay community would call a twink

I know, was about to post that but didn't, lots of stuff in those pics that aren't 70s fashion
Yes it was. Now maybe the old people can see how stupid it is when they post a picture of the fashion from today and say "we are going to hell as a society. Look at what EVERY KID is wearing today!!!!"

You likely dont remember it because you and the majority of people thought it was ridiculous, same as the fashion forward trends of today

They are from around the world. Much of that was not fashion in the South, but watching movies from the 70s you see lots of that fashion in the OP.

God the 70's fashion was awesome. I loved the outfits that NBA coaches used to rock on the sidelines...

Larry Brown, one of the best coaches in the last half century thought THIS was a good look:

Apparently the great Dr. Jack Ramsay was color-blind...

Al Attles and KC Jones proved that black dudes had style...

But these guys had NOTHING on Herbert R. Tarlek, Jr...

it's all cyclical my brother, a lot of the 70s trends were recycled from 30s to 50s, ex. wingtips, pleated pants, the sweater vests, doesn't give me any heartburn, just funny how easily consumers are duped and how fashion designers probably can't contain themselves from busting a gut at how fast the fashion conscious will buy anything thrown out there, no matter how stupid it looks
