Dude, you are correct. That is a BS excuse for sucking. Some people refuse to be a man and take a loss. But, both of you know this about him.

I'm used to it. Guys who are less talented get mad because their girlfriends are openly flirting with me. I just accept it as something that just goes along with being awesome at everything.

I have always sucked at mini-golf. My solution? Don't play mini-golf. It's pretty easy

Strictly judging off of this sentence and no other context, I bet you can't break 80

Oh yeah, I had an uncle that use to switch to lefty when I was beating his arse in table tennis so that he could claim he lost because he “played me left handed”

I break 80 occasionally but typically low 80s. I don’t claim to be great nor do I care if a buddy is good or bad. I also don’t like being called out as being the ‘softball guy’ in a crowd just because another guy sucks and is trying to make it cool to suck at something.

It’s not about golf. It’s about any competitive type activity and people acting like they are more mature or a better person than you because they suck.

I've always admitted I suck at golf. It's why I sold my clubs once my daughter was born.

If I have a free day it's on the water only now.

Dont miss it.

Although I do enjoy the occasional top golf trip.

The worst kind of guys are the ones that say things like (watching a mini tour guy play in the last group of a 4ball) "How is he not better if he practices everyday? (guy was -6 thru 17) If I practiced that much I could be just as good as him but I just don't want to. I just come out here to drink beer and hit it as far as I can. I could be on tour if I could practice every day like he does though."
