Not just tearing up as you watch the notebook with the wife, but a real authentic cry?
Why did you cry?
I cried yesterday over some family shite that happened at christmas.

Crying is good for you.

Best of all it relieves stress
I do not begrudge obama crying over gun deaths. It might have been political circus but this concept that crying makes you weak is fricking retarded.

5. Relieves Stress
A good cry can provide a feeling of relief, even if our circumstances still remain the same. Crying is known to release stress hormones or toxins from the body, and as a result, reduces tension. Martin believes crying is a healthier alternative to punching the wall or “stuffing your feelings,” which can lead to physical health problems like headaches or high blood pressure. “Crying is a safe and effective way to deal with stress,” he said. “It provides an emotional release of pent up negative feelings, stresses, and frustrations.”

June 2008 at the birth of my daughter. Time before that was December 2001 at the birth of my son.

it's ok to cry over some things, namely lost loved ones, ended relationships, goodbyes, or happiness for someone.
It's not cool to cry from frustration, not getting your way, anger, etc

In the words of Ron Swanson, "Crying is only okay in two places: funerals and the Grand Canyon."

When one of my best friends lost his 16 year old son to a car accident. The kid was very close to my son's age and had spent a lot of time at our house.

Nothing wrong with crying when you are angry. Completely natural reaction if you ask me.

Week before Christmas with my family and we were talking about my grandmother (died long ago) and my uncle (died this past year).
Last time I wanted to cry was Christmas Day in the ICU talking to that man who lost his family in the New Iberia train wreck. That was awful and I've never fought so hard to fight back tears. I've never seen someone so completely torn up and broken.
