Why wouldn’t you levelize?
The utility companies charge to levelize, quite a bit too not like 2-3% it’s more like 10% for mine. So you don’t do it to save money.
My electric coop also offers some sort of ‘insurance’ for like $14.95/ month that’s some sort of money making scam. It covers like $1000 of electrical work if there’s a surge or something like that.

Why are you turning on the heat in South Louisiana?
Man up and put a jacket on

This levelized bill thing is a scam... I'll just stick with actual electric usage and not depend on Entergy that uses a fork to figure out my bill...

Too stupid to realize electric heating is quite a bit more expensive than natural gas heating huh?

Entergy does not charge to be placed on levelized billing.

Well until I replace my AC unit with a heat pump and/or a gas heater, I am stuck using electric heat.
My old system is over 20 years old. It is due for a replacement, but not until all the issues with refrigerants and efficiency requirements have been sorted out will i consider a new one. I would hate to buy a new system now only to have the refrigerant be banned or on a phase out which will drive up the costs of repairs.
I plan on using my system until it keels over.

True, but how often do you heat your house?
Live in south Louisiana also, we rarely run our heat, occasionally on cold mornings.
