We did that in Scouts. Went door-to-door fund raising. Had brass interlocking number stencils.

Charged like $5.00 a digit.

Any color spray paint you wanted as long as it was black.

People still do the paining. They just don't come by very often.

We have a guy who comes around once or twice a year and does it. But I’ll be damned if I’m letting him put Toonces on my curb like that one.

there’s a retired veteran who comes around and still does them every other year in my neighborhood. He has a massive catalog you can pick from or he can freehand whatever you want. my address plus a simple P&G LSU font cost me like $65. Still looks great.

I member a guy came around my neighborhood one year only and spray painted an address design for people. I thought it was a pretty cool hustle back then. If you didn't get one at the time, your family was shite out of a luck.

Older than I once was, younger than I'll be, that's not unusual....

You’ve shoved a lot into 43 years….

Toonces was a reprehensible LSU logo from the Dinardo era.

I'm not sure how to take that.

Ahhh... that explains my confusion, thanks for clearing it up- While y'all graciously allow me here, I've never resided in Louisiana nor have I particularly followed college sports.

Meant as a compliment, you seem seasoned well for 43.
