Meeting at Sonic is a Real Thing

In the middle of the night, I couldn't sleep so turned on the tube and started watching Dateline.
The episode was called the Trouble on Effington Road and was about a prominent family in Georgia all being murdered in their sleep. Long story short the oldest brother was banging his youngest brothers wife. Older brother wanted her all to himself so he killed his dad, brother and almost his mom.
Before the murders took place the younger brother confronted older brother about the affair. It made me laugh when the Dateline hosts said,"the two brothers had a physical altercation at Sonic".
Any of you ever hear of friends or had your own personal experiences with a physical altercation at Sonic.

I had a dude take a swing at me through the rolled down passenger side window of my buddy’s car at Sonic in high school. He was upset that his girlfriend had taken a liking to me.

Sonic replaced Dog n Suds as the fightin' place. Dog n Suds was the go to place in its day. King's Hwy, Paragould, Arkansas.
