I don’t understand why they’re fricking around with something as serious as medicine to promote diversity.
Because it is their religion

I don’t care what race my doctor is but I do want the smartest and most compassionate doctor treating me.
I will only treat with indigenous black trans doctors with substandard qualifications. Diversity and inclusion is much more important than competency.

shite is happening everywhere...kinda like the BAR exam.
Get your head out of your pussy and see what is going on, progressively, for the last 2 decades. LINK
No-Fail high schools, no-fail college, entrance exams forgotten, and a focus on diversity.
Quit being an a-hole and put aside your anger...see what is happening.

Fortunately, many schools provide BS/MD programs that don’t require taking the MCAT for acceptance. BS/MD programs are combined programs provided by schools that allow students to first earn their bachelor of science degree before automatically progressing into medical school and earning their medical degree.

Or Asian.
Truly the only legit example of systemic racism is the bias against Asians and whites in graduate school admissions.

This almost as good as students from south Louisiana convincing the admissions panel they will stay in north Louisiana to practice medicine. The rubes fall for it every time.

For a long time I was staunchly anti-Affirmative Action but I had an experience that changed my mind somewhat.
Back in my ICU days I took care of quite a few open heart patients for maybe 7-8 different surgeons over the years.
There was 1 particular surgeon that was 1 of my 2 favorites, the other was white but he moved out of state.
He was my favorite and the one I would have chosen for me or my family for couple reasons: 1) his patients always did well, never had to send one back to surgery for bleeding.
2) he was super nice, easy going with no ego issues to deal with.
After some years he told me he went to medical school( Tulane) through affirmative action.I was shocked because my preconceived ideas about AI.He also told me how ugly the administration was to him when he applied. One of the Drs. told him why don’t you just go home boy and forget these big ideas. We take good care of you people.
One of my least favorite and I think he was asked to leave was a Harvard Med School graduate.
Also I knew from my experience that the nurses with the highest grade point averages were not always the best nurses.

Nichols has been having this program for decades and it had an MCAT waiver no matter race. I know a dumbass who took that route and is now a doctor. He is mentally retarded in my book, thankfully he couldn’t match to a surgical residency

Setting them up for failure. You still need to pass the STEP exams. This will hurt their graduation rate and pass rate.

Asians have it even harder. Technically, the Asian doctor is more likely to have had to perform the best.

Nothing like this would be public. It's imagined. This is like believing in dragons and fairies. Sounds like if someone believes this then they are too dim to be in medicine.
The mind of a liberal, ladies and gentlemen. His comrades push incessantly for diversity quotas and affirmative action. When it starts to feel a little icky he denies it’s happening.
This is exactly the sort of policy your party pushes, dude. Why would you even want to deny it’s happening? You support this.

Track record matters more than med school admission.
I don't care what my doctor scored on his MCAT when he was 22 years old. If he's batting 1.000 on open heart surgeries then I trust him.

This is so easy it makes me sick.
Exclude gender/race from applications on anything.
You are # x.
Problems solved. Best and brightest.
Done.

Let me throw this in the discussion. Since LSU Shreveport is now an Ochsner facility I guarantee it has something to do with it. Ochsner is notorious for pushing DIE around the New Orleans hospitals- not just in hiring doctors but for administration also. Every new surgical specialist Dr hired in last 2 years at a certain NO hospital has been a woman or black or both.
