mainstream media absolutely curates their content to drive a narrative. Simple example: media mostly used pictures of W & Trump that showed them in the most unflattering way possible. Every picture of Obama made him look like a damned Dillards ad model.
Also, 90% of whats on MSM tv are editorials masquerading as news or overblown manufactured hype to get clicks or neilson points. Very little actual content.

And after the events of yesterday, there is now no reason at all to actually just report the facts of anything. They now can simply print what they want people to read with impunity.

This is why I have maintained that there are no "winners" in regards to the 2020 Presidential Election. Faith in the system has been lost. It isn't concentrated to one "side" or the other, either. In a country where media has intertwined itself with political and electoral processes, trust is paramount. We have no trust in the media, therefore we can have no trust in the electoral system.
We may never see another legitimate (at least in the eyes of the people) election again in this country.

When following a story I will follow it on USAtoday, AP and CBS.. Those seem to be the most reliable (I am not saying they are 100% reliable, just that they are the most reliable).

Problem is they still spin themselves as the truth.
I think social media has made it a lot worse. Media has always been big in sensationalizing things. But prior to the boom of social media, they only had to compete against each other for viewers and breaking the news. Now there are countless “news groups” and independent journalists out there with a platform in which they can reach people from all over. So it’s caused them to further up their sensationalizing to make people pay more attention to them.
