Pssssssst.

You can do a lot with ice cores and fossilized tree trunks (for the rings) to inform the climate of a certain time along with the geological record.

Mass sterilizations worldwide to prevent impoverished nations to breed like rabbits?

That probably wouldn't be received well, I know.

Well that isn't exactly true

Obviously China is the top dog in all of this (and by a lot), but the US is still either 2nd or 3rd in emissions, depending on how you measure

I don't feel that really answers my questions, but Ok I guess.

Just like we as humans have always adjusted to it. Just using the tech of the times. Just dont care for it to be disguised by something it's not as the sheep make their scare tactic leaders richer as they are hypocrites. Just be honest about it, and let your ideas/product stand on their true merits, so we truly have the best options rise to the top to move forward.

Well N Korea is definitely on the cutting edge here with their 200#s of human waste daily requirement to help with crops initiative. Ha.

It does, because you can piece together why the sea level was lower or higher and the temperature background from such information. Not to the degree but somebody studying the climate would have a pretty strong understanding of what happened then to inform the today.

Included in that, are fluctuations in CO2 and the results.

Your drain swirling dialogue doesn't work on me you know that.

This topic could be about DuPont and their complicity in draining carcinogens into the Cape Fear and the siren for the PTB to show up and dispute it would blare.

The media is going to be the downfall of Western Civilization. Those bastards are so one sided and left slanting that any dissent is unwelcome. My life is better without cable news, even local news, and everybody with a brain should cut that cord soon as possible.

So POTUS has a pretty innocuous tweet about the weather.....

....and the global warming industry defends their position on a day when many of us are experiencing extreme weather.

That amuses me.

And how does that help a climatologist to accurately say what caused those fluctuations and predict what will happen next? Because that is the implication of your post.

I never said we know what caused them, nor did I imply it. However, we know the larger historical trends tend to have momentum on their side.

I think the folks making predictions about the next 100 years using the previous 100 years aren't exactly stretching the limits of science. That being said, 100 years is a drop in the swimming pool of history, and we're basically in the tail end of a cooling period if you look at the data in millions of years scale, or a rapid warming period if you look at the data with thousands of years as your scale. Sea levels have risen 300 feet in the last 15000 years, for instance, and fallen 700 feet in the last 100 million years.

How much man has an impact is a reasonable thing to question, and I'd never argue against that.

I love a good intellect insult with ridiculous grammar as much as the next guy, but get out of here.

Al gore didn't do this for the greater good of humanity. He peddled a bunch of iffy at best science to make a shitload of money. Questioning the science behind man-made climate change is perfectly rational.

I'm always amazed at people who will accept the fact that a weatherman can't accurately tell me what the weather will be tomorrow but will readily believe a climatologist who claims to be able to predict the weather generations from now.

Or we have accurate records that go back far enough to show a statistically significant trend over hundreds of years.

Trump mocks global warming in a tweet knowing that people that defend or care about global warming will defend their position.

Trump knows exactly what he is doing with tweets like that.

It's simply red meat for his base.

The media and democrats also take his bait way too easily.

I'm not saying we shouldn't still try to improve things here. I'm just saying we could destroy our economy to cut emissions further...and it wouldn't matter, because we aren't the problem. Not to mention the amount of trash and other pollutants being dumped in to the ocean by Asia.
