Have an older BMW (2005) that I love and that has required a lot of work. A lot. I have a guy who lets me buy my Own parts and he does the labor for a fair price. Has saved me an insane amount of $. I would’ve never been able to maintain the car if I didn’t have that arrangement.

I had a very negative experience with Firestone many years ago. My Explorer was overheating so they replaced the radiator and some other things at great expense. However, they did it improperly, the overheating continued, and when I took it back they said the situation had led to engine damage and they wouldn't touch the car any further or give me a refund.
So I took it to an independent mechanic who made the appropriate minor repairs and the car never had the problem again. I considered suing the Firestone in question in small claims court, but ultimately it wasn't worth it from a cost benefit perspective. The whole situation caused me a lot of stress and frustration.

I was planning on having my car for 100k miles but it hit submit too early.

This is true. If your brakes go out the front of your car is most likely to get damaged.

Rear brakes generally go double or more, than front pads.

If you have a big clamp to depress the cylinder. Brakes are a breeze. Try changing the back spark plugs on a new Chevy truck if you wanna get pissed. Sum bitches are under the windshield. You basically have to lay across motor

They told me they did the tire rotation and they didn't. I confronted the guy and he lied to my face.
This. If I don't know the mechanic, I ask for the old part.
An Indy mechanic who treats your car like it's his and takes pride in his work is hard to find, or their hours suck. Hell, even the mechanics at dealers are hit or miss.
At the very least, I insist on bringing my own OEM parts. Some won't warranty the repair until I show them the World Pac receipt.
