My wife’s 4Runner makes a squealing sound as she accelerates. Anyone have a mechanic they trust in town? Thanks.

Give Courvelle Toyota a call. They’re good peoples. I’ve bought four vehicles from them in the past 15 years.

It doesn't sound like the belt kind of squeal. I hope that is all it is.

There's a Toyota master mechanic that just opened up a shop over that way LINK

Don't know the guy, never used him. I think I found him on a Landcruiser Facebook group. Seems like the reviews are good.

You can give Rolands Auto Care in Broussard a call. They are trustworthy. 337.837.6232

I never used them for mechanic work but I go to their office quite a bit and I would definately trust them. Never heard them say or do anything that even remotely sounded like they would take advantage of a customer.

Full disclosure, Matt is married to my niece. He is a good mechanic and reasonably priced. I use him now and I generally avoid using family because of the potential drama it causes but I trust his work.

I’ve used Ross Tire and Service for years and never had a bad experience. They’ve got a lot of cool old stuff to look at in the shop too.

Another vote for Ross Tire. Those guys are great and, unlike your stereotypical mechanic, are completely trustworthy. Family has been bringing vehicles there for many years with no issues.

They do my oil changes. I wasn't aware they did mechanical work.

I went look at it when the bride got home. It definitely is not the belt. It sounds like it is the tattle tail on the brake pads, but it happens even when the brakes are not being pressed. I will take it in on Monday.
