So. Building a culture of dependency and criminal behavior is a desirable outcome? This actually explains a lot about you.

LBJ, errr, excuse me for the silly spell check, I meant, IDK, is there currently any other long term studies in this type of primate behavior to perhaps give affirmation to, or repudiate these scientific findings??
Something seems familiar, I just can't quite nail it down though......

All they need now is to start slinging drugs like that one in The Hangover

Worked in Thailand and our plant kept having alarms go off during the night. Crews would get called out and find valves were turned and chainwheels were pulled apart. Turns out monkeys were doing it at night.

But if they start hurting each other, will anyone care about monkey on monkey violence?

A question that has been bothering me for a while....
Why don't we have monkeys in the US? Monkeys prefer hot weather? We have plenty of that in the South. We have jungles, forests, etc. I know that they can be little rascals, take things that don't belong to them and pester innocent people, but they seem to be harmless. And they are really funny to watch. Why don't we have monkeys here?

Literally just got back from Bali a few weeks ago. Stayed in a place where those monkeys were everywhere. Had a staring contest with a monkey from my front window.
We were told to not leave anything on our front porch because it wouldn't be there in the morning.
Weird waking up at 6am to the sounds of monkeys jumping on your roof.
One shot from right outside our suite:

Back in the 1980s I heard lots of stories about a band of monkeys that had escaped from a zoo or something in the 70s. According to the story, they migrated seasonally up and down the MS River from Memphis to NOLA. They were breeding and flourishing.
Apparently the brutal winter of Dec 1989 wiped them out (along with a big percentage of the speckled trout in LA). Wonder is anyone else has heard the same story.

It's nice to see our federal government being modeled in other countries by other species.
