Correct and not just for football. And not even just high school. Junior highs utilize them as well.
People seem to think they get used by one school 5 or 6 times a year which is generally not the case.
Cy Fair has a nice one but they're about to have 12, yes 12 high schools. They also tied an auditorium for graduation to it. Makes me think about how they got Tiger stadium built. Cy Fair built theirs years ago before this arms race started. They were ahead of their time.
Katy is getting a 60 million dollar stadium and while Katy HS gets the headlines, there are 8 or 9 schools in the district.

Stadium is shared by the 3 high schools in the McKinney isd.
Until you live here you would not understand that these stadiums are not burdens on the citizens. The schools are already top notch with some of the best facilities in the country. The cities are well run with little to no crime, excellent infrastructure and majority good upper middle class Christian families.
