Genius lyrics
I could care less about folks liking the song but for an elected official to honor a song that celebrates guns, profanity and women being hos is a bit much.

Probably the only time I’ll side with her.

There is a leap between folks liking the song and an elected official honoring it. I can like porn but I do not want a Mayor publicly honoring it.

And no one wants to think about her participating in it.
Well, except for Vappie.

They love their harmful culture.

It's a weird list, as in it's all over the place but and in no particular order:
Snarky Puppy
Wolf Alice
Aurora
Maro

You obviously have not seen a Gen X mom in the club when this banger comes on.
Oh, and it's Could NOT care less.
Oh, and you sound like my dad in 1988 when NWA came out

I agree with the OP. The song might sound cool on the surface, but its lyrics and meaning are downright immoral and contribute to a shitty culture and shitty world views.
It becomes downright embarrassing and comical when elected public officials decide to celebrate something like this and embrace it as part of African-American culture. That’s why African-Americans are having so many problems today; they stem from their downright shitty culture.

That was my point. When I was young I wore out my cassette of the first 2 Live Crew album. That does not mean I would approve of it being honored by a public official.

In this case the "artist" is just as big a POS as the song suggests he is.
Imagine celebrating that as some sort of standard-bearer for your community.
You don't have to imagine.
In these parts, "well....that figures" certainly applies and is self evident. :

I remember when the song first came out and Mannie Fresh's line in the clean version was "Miller Lite Morning" instead of "Put the dick in the Middle like Monie." Strange!!

Such uplifting lyrics.
I bet all the 6th graders love it.
