Cmon man, you can't use that as an accurate poll. First, the board demographics aren't a mirror of the country. Second, you don't even know how many people viewed the post.

(1) Some other countries being complete fricks has nothing to do with racism still being alive and well in the US.
(2) You are generalizing entire regions of the world when the countries within all behave in different manners regarding race.
(3) Saying the US is the least racist in the history of the world is just silly b/c that is an extremely hard thing to even come close to knowing if its true.

israelis are a race in the context of the middle east. then there are the persian/arab/turkish/kurd ethnic issues that are major drivers

You can say that for anything that has enough passionate people behind it.
I do agree that is a part of the problem for the young, poor, & uneducated. People who are smart enough to know the difference between entertainment and reality aren't affected nearly as much.
The real problem is poverty and lack of education. The culture problem that you speak of is snowballing because there are too many poor uneducated people breeding more poor uneducated people. Our tax dollars are supporting this lifestyle and really don't give anyone any kind of incentive to improve their way of living.

and our society is advancing to the point where you are left out of economic opportunity if you don't take education somewhat seriously

In my experience Canada, Columbia, and Brazil were all at a minimum equal in tolerance. Mexico really isnt bad in the areas I've been to.
Japan, UK, and France were the worst that I've been to.

This is how women think. There is no such thing as superior or inferior culture.
The metric to assess it is inherently flawed.
All values are neutral.
There is only dominant and non dominant cultures.
Everything else is opinion and emotions.
Culture is power.

well then we have a fundamental disagreement on what constitutes race.
those Israelis are hated for their religion and the country's proclivity to bomb the shite out of their neighbors, not the color of their skin.
at best I'd give you that its ethnic conflict but that isnt the same as race.

we can look at objective data, like output and all sorts of other "quality of life" measures
we know that as of March 6, 2015, barring the discovery of one of those hidden civilizations that suppressed archeology types love to discuss, western values are the best set of values that humanity has proliferated. now one day mankind may find a better culture, but we haven't yet.
western values include property rights, governmental protection of property rights, economic liberty amongst populations, economic competition, some form of rule based in representation/voting, equality under the law, use of the scientific method, and work ethic. this is our backbone, and these values are why the west dominates (and other emerging countries in the east are starting to dominate after adapting a more western approach)
