i agree

that requires property rights and economic liberty. the rest basically sorts itself out

but on a meta level, the issues is subsidizing those who aren't capable of joining/leading this development. that shite compounds over time and becomes its own culture. this isn't a black-urban thing, either. you go to a trailer park and you'll see the same bullshite where education is criticized and associated with feminine values. you'll see a culture that looks to physical superiority and aggression as the symbol of value.

i used to call this "lower class mentality" but i just call it trash culture now. when this becomes your dominant culture, those within the culture reject these advancements. what they value will be what they see the others can't do. manual labor. physical might. risk-taking behavior. this compounds their economic abilities and then they blame their decreased economic value on others. arguing with rednecks about this shite is the goddamned worst.

The median age of the OT is likely in the lower 30s (or lower) and I would bet that the board's rate of 4 years or more of university education is 3-4 times the national average. I keep harping on it, but from yesterday through today 61 posters upvoted a White Nationalist missive that could have been penned by a phrenologist 150 years ago. I'm happy to pull some of the highlights form the post (it's quite long) and spell out the implicaitons of some of its claims.

I understand your point there should be more done for addicts that are in jail. BUT the law is the law...if you want to be with your family do not break the law. People always make this argument that locking people up for non violent offense is wrong. Its a stupid argument bc as US citizen we need to respect authority placed above us. The fact of the matter is it against the law. You know that if you touch a bonfire you will get burned so don't freaking touch it. If you go to jail bc of drugs thats YOUR fault and your selfishness which is the root of the problem.

To your other point, selfish moms and dads are what separate families. They are too busy chasing the next "high" (whether that is drugs or chasing money or chasing fame, etc) rather than being present for their kids. Kids already spend at least 8 hours a day in school then go out with those same kids on the weekend. When do the parents have time to teach and mentor their children? Add on selfish parents that are not home in that tiny space when the kids are and you get kids that are being influenced by other kids who only know what TV and the internet and other media outlets tell them. Then the kid does not listen to their parents bc the parent never developed a trusting relationship with their children and is not in a position of influence. THATS what separates families.

If you want to chase those things FINE do it on your own time. DO NOT have a wife/husband and kids if you are going to be absent from them to chase drugs, money, fame, etc. People make the excuse "Im selling dope for my family, Im working hard for my family" you should have been thought about that before you had a kid or got married. Don't drag other innocent people down in your BS.

I understand stuff happens and mistakes are made. Sometimes its unavoidable but damnit if everyone isn't in this position. Their needs to be more accountability and more thought and more self control and less selfishness.
