There's no answer. We don't know how much the single mug variable is worth. Based on how the bottles and burgers were separated in the first two equations, I cannot assume that the double mug variable is 2x the single mug.
Thus, the final equation cannot be solved due to lack of information.

Yeah what is that? A premium 40?
Posted on 11/18/16 at 8:32 am to theunknownknight
3x = 30
x + 2y = 20
y + 2z = 9
So
x = 10
y = 5
z = 2
And
5 + (2 * 10) = 25
x + 2y = 20
y + 2z = 9
So
x = 10
y = 5
z = 2
And
5 + (2 * 10) = 25

These math threads are always good for a shite ton of edits. No one wants to leave their answer of 60 out there for the world to see - looking at you threeputt.

You missed the (1/2)z in the last line

I hope your reply got fat fingered because I have no idea why anybody would downvote that?

PEMDAS
5+(2x10) = 25
The problem with PEMDAS is we had a perfectly fine way of doing things before.
I got 70 because I wasn't taught PEMDAS. I'm going to stick with 70. If someone older than 45 wrote this equation 70 would indeed be the answer.

Is order of operations not taught anymore?

Ask anybody that graduated high school in the 80's in Louisiana and none of us were taught this. I went to LSU in the 80's and we didn't use it there either. It may be like 500 years old but my parents weren't taught that and neither was I.

My parents disagree with you
