That cabbie is the worst person on earth. Asking for their money at the end? Wow.

Me either. But the first LVPD to make it to the 32nd floor make contact with the guard. It’s in the scanner recordings. Guard had been shot in the leg.

They were reporting shite as far away as Ceasers, Paris, and Billagio.

How come we haven't got any recaps of the cameras... Surely they have watched all 3 days of footage. More information should be put out on the hotel camera's of this guys moves
It's been less than 24 hours. They're not just going to continually put out a play by play of all of the evidence as they find it to the public. I assume we'll learn alot more as the week unfolds.
This will be a longish post, but I plan to lay the facts out logically and then explain the reason for a couple compelling conspiracy theories.
I'm sitting on the fence at this point. From what we know so far, and from what I've learned today, the actual logistics of the event in a vacuum aren't hard to understand or carry out step by step. The problem comes in when you look at the forest. The individual trees are understandable, the forest is basically mind blowing.
The individual issues:
Getting a strip view room in Vegas isn't hard to do or a crazy request. I'm sure that hotels get them everyday and you can even request them online. This man was an avid gambler, a frequent traveler, and no stranger at all to Vegas.
Amassing those weapons isn't really that hard either. The man had money and no police record and years to do it. I know friends and family who have a bunch of guns and ammo stored up in safes. It's more common that many people think to collect a few guns and ammo. And you can buy as much ammo as you want online or at Walmart.
Getting those weapons and ammo into the hotel wouldn't be hard at all. Most guns breakdown into small parts that would fit into normal suitcases. Someone with a bunch of suitcases at a hotel in Vegas is not suspicious at all. And they didn't need to be that heavy. I travel often. The limit before fees is 50 lbs per bag and I'm always right at 48. Someone mentioned earlier that he could get 10 AR15s and a thousand rounds at around 200lbs. That's 4 50lb suitcases? No chance a valet or bellhop even bats an eye at that. And as noted, he could've just borrowed a bellhop cart and done it himself, he could've slowly done it over a few days, etc....
Thanks to my previous post we know you can modify an AR-15 with a Gat trigger and he had platforms set up with tripods as well as multiple different rifles ready to go. If he got 600-1000 rounds off in 10-15 minutes. That's an average of 60-100 rounds per minute? That's 2-3 30 round magazines per minute? Not a crazy feat with 10 guns loaded and ready to go especially if using higher than 30 capacity mags.
At a music festival you have a confined area usually with just a couple choke points of 20,000 people standing basically shoulder to shoulder. So accuracy isn't an issue and the terrifying reality is that it's easy to do alot of damage in a short window as seen here.
Those are the basic "facts" so far. Not really an unbelievable crazy feat.
The problem with the situation and the reason for the disbelief and conspiracy theories is, in my opinion, a few circumstantial issues:
1. No one wants to believe a mild mannered and quiet old man could just snap and brutally and meticulously plan the most horrific mass shooting in American History. This event took months to plan out. Your mind will instantly reject that notion. It's a scary one. You don't want to think that the kind but quiet old man down the block could secretly be a cold and calculating complete unhinged psychopath capable of this brutality.
2. When broken down like I just did, the actual logistics of this event are not that hard. They're not even unbelievable. In fact, it's the opposite. Again, your mind will reject this by default. No one wants to think about how easy it is to go cause mass carnage. But it is terrifyingly easy if you really sit and think about it.
On that note, thinking about the broad tragedy it seems mind numbing and impossible for one man to pull off. Most people will stay at that level and not break down the situation which makes it easier to reject it as a whole.
3. Polarizing politics coupled with social media have this country in a state of constant anxiety and tension. The media only seems to serve to stroke this tension. Everyone is in such a rush to be the first to report anything they don't stop to think about what they're reporting much less gather all the facts. This leads to wild accusations and speculations being reported as facts. Then as the situation develops these stories constantly change which leads to misinformation and distrust of stories.
It comes down to human nature. It's easier to accept and believe a wild story and a compelling theory than it is to accept the cold hard truth. In a way it is more comforting to follow the conspiracy theory.
Because it's a brutal reality to accept the truth. That it is not only completely possible, but shockingly easy, for one psychotic unhinged madman to carry out such brutal evil and horrific acts and you'd never even see it coming until its too late. And what's worse is its virtually impossible to guard against. It's going to happen. You're just hoping you make it through life lucky enough to not be in that place at that time.

30+ minutes afterwards. Plenty of time for someone to flee there and make contact with LVPD, etc.

I haven't been able to find any info on the security guard.
At the Sheriff briefing before that football game, a reporter asked if the guy died or not and asked who engaged who.
Not many people really knew what the heck happened with that.

whoa, did the NV commissioner just say someone donated 100k to the gofundme?

He is okay. Got hurt as you stated. Trampled. Hurt ribs and concussion. When on the ground some dude feet away from him was shot in the head. A cop saw his son on the ground rush in and saved him and got him out of there.

@ 4:59 in the cabbie video there is some light flashing in one of the windows and its def not the 32nd floor. not saying it was gun fire but looks to be about the same height that was scene from another angle behind a big sign

I haven't watched any YouTube, mainstream media reports, or videos of any of this. Not on any forum, site, or channel.
I'd like to know if there's video of the floor his room was on, and if he was the only one to enter that room prior to the shooting?
I don't think that's unreasonable. Do you?

Wonder if they made contact through the door and he shot, or if he saw them on camera and ambushed as they stood?

They don't know/won't say if he went back to firing on the crowd after.
He shot the security guard through the door.
