but would you inform security on every strange looking person you saw somewhere? I see weird people all the time and my first thought isn't going to run to tell someone. I just avoid them
if I'm in a movie theater and i feel so uncomfortable that i leave, I'd say that is a sign something may be up. IT's a little different than just avoiding someone in public.

Im pretty sure in this day and age that if you told the police someone was in the theater alone, in a disguise, that they would probably check it out. Might not have been him, but what if it was? What if he had a gun on him? What if he just got cold feet? Who knows.
looks like they told the manager though. I wonder if he did anything.

I was planning to take my daughter to see Pixels this afternoon. To be honest I'm rethinking it. I know it's not rational but I'm still rethinking it.

Hopefully this guy paid with a card to track the times he went to the movies. To find out if he was in theaters in other cities or how many times he was In the theater in Lafayette on what days.

quote:Come on, Les. In this day and age we have men dressing as women and women dressing as men outward and openly and numerous other people walking around daily looking like goobers and if these people are approached and not just accepted 'as the way they are' they run to the internet and whine about it and their posts go viral and it's another massive uproar. Maybe I'm just looking at it from a completely different extreme, but I just don't know.

It's a sad situation and I don't know what could have prevented it. Getting hung up on what he could have possibly been doing before at the movies isn't it though. Do you know how many people go to the movies in a day? week? month? So in almost 3 weeks, how many other people passed through that movie theater?

Don't know if it's been posted, but one of the guys that was shot, was Mayci's fiance. He is in the hospital and knows she didn't make it.

every movie theater has a police detail. Tell the police and put it into their hands. You seriously sound like you are 12 years old.

theaters are going to start becoming more like airports. metal detectors, pat downs, random checks...

notify police, have it at least investigated, something so simple could have easily busted him for one thing and leads to another that leads to him being a mental killer in preparation. how you think tips on terrorists work...?

Good for you... I doubt anything would happen though... But I understand why you wouldn't... I haven't been in a movie theater in 20 some years... Too much money and most movies are disappointing anyway, esp when I can see them in my own home within 6 weeks..... Just like flying... I don't do it cause I have zero control of my fate.... BTW I am not scared to go to a movie theater.... Just a stupid a waste of money IMO........

Which still doesn't stop a motivated attacker.

just watched the latest press release. Chief of police said the shooter had disguises in the car. And they found the keys to the car sitting on top of one the tires.
