No. Looks like I need to remove the quotes.

Is it wrong to have a feeling like "This happened to all of us"?

I know I immediately called friends and family there. It's extremely unlikely that they were victims, but you absolutely can't shake the idea that it's possible, and you have to be sure. Something like this happening so close to home and at a place where people congregate to have a good time really does just hit you differently than a shooting somewhere many miles away. Just totally tragic, senseless, and awful.

I'm a little upset that he's dead. Especially on his own terms, and particularly with no answers or closure for families. They'll wonder why forever. I wish they could have at least had that opportunity to question him or ask him what he thought he was doing. Having a family member die for no reason is bad enough. Dying at random is just twisting the blade.

I hope it hurt, and I'm glad he died a coward. He deserved worse, but police on the scene at least denied him the exit he envisioned by proving his cowardice.

I have that same feeling of " it happened to all of us". I lived in Lafayette for 13 years and have been in that theater many times with and without my kids. I have many close friends there and it just hits way too close to home.

We're all a little closer to Charleston, Columbine, Aurora, Sandy Hook, Washington, D.C., Boston and the far too many others tonight.

A buddy and I were watching a show on Hulu and laughing, joking around and having fun. We got the notification on our phones, and suddenly we were calling friends and family. Just like that. Immediately, the fun night turns into paranoia and just absolute fear waiting for the phone to buzz or ring with family and friends calling in to say that they're ok, and you don't have to worry anymore.

God dammit this is awful.

No. Not a sex shop. I didn't want to post anything until it was 100% but I can see her personal FB page is getting flooded with condolences.
She and her husband own Parish Ink and Red Arrow Workshop. She was also in the local band The Figs.

No. I felt that way after the Aurora shooting. I lived on the eastern boundary of Denver proper back when it happened and that theater was the closest one to me. I felt like "how dare this MFer do this to our local community." Not sure how people on the other side of town felt though, say Golden or Littleton (who we all know has had their own tragedy before).

Oh that's terrible. I've followed their store on instagram for a while. Their "about us" on the website is adorable. I hate this.

Good morning all. Didn't sleep very well because of all this. I was hoping to wake up to some better news about those in critical condition. Prayers sent to anyone involved and to their families.

#BostonStrong is 100% behind #LafayetteStrong today.

I feel exactly the same. LA is different from the rest of the world. And that was what made me feel safe. I was actually at the movies this weekend with my kids and the thought of a shooting crossed my mind. I looked for the exits. I told myself to relax and enjoy the film because that stuff doesn't happen here. And 4 days later, it did. I'm just stunned and so sad.

I just woke up. Can I get the latest update? No time to dig through 50 pages before work.

Another shooting victim has died.

Three victims killed now. That's really the only update.

Info is extremely limited at this time. Press conference to begin in minutes, hopefully with more information coming out.
