I see this happen at work every so often. Does anyone else see this? A friend of mine did it a few years back by replying to all and saying "He had enough and was going back to bed". (I think he meant it as a forward comment to me and a few others. When I didn't see my name on the email I knew it was bad. Went out to over 1200 people.

I just wonder if anyone else sees this sort of stuff.

I would wager that 90+ percent of us have carelessly or inappropriately hit "reply all" at some point. Often it's bound to be on some mass company/organization/command-wide e-mail. I have some classics saved to a pst (typically around the 4th of July or the Army-Navy game). They almost always start stupid, get funny, and end with a Colonel or higher telling everyone to knock it the frick off. I actually look forward to them.

Our last one at my current command started over something routine (some "town hall" or something with the director) and went on for a good 3 hours. It ended with the deputy director (an SES-3/3-star equivalent) saying "we've had our fun now knock it off." The next/last reply was this.

We all died. And the intern who sent it out got some remediation.

The best, when it happens and results in a mass "Please remove me from this distribution"

I think Google just came out with a fix for this.

Likely only works in Gmail.

Probably the second most common response after "some of us have official blackberries and you're blowing them up."

Who the frick still has a blackberry?

HR sent out an email to all employees asking for suggestions for the company Christmas luncheon. Salesman accidentally replied all with "The Gold Club".

No doubt.

They know better than to leave easy targets like that.
