Being positive role models for our children. My wife and I work and attend school...beyond our graduate degrees. Setting the example about the importance of education; and being able to take care of my family is my favorite part. Having dual parents who are speaking from experience in terms of education is important for black Americans.

[quote]Yeah, if your goal in life is to be a mom then you're no good to me.[quote]

Dude. You get me. There are SO many women with no hobbies and no goals and nothing to contribute but a vagina and children. Generic personality that is just a blend of the shite she's seen on TV and social media.

I truly would like a family some day, but I refuse to be with someone who cannot stand alone without me. I'm about to turn 30 and my career is just starting and things are looking promising (fingers crossed). I run into so many girls that see me as their parachute.

I ain't a fricking parachute. And you'd be AMAZED (or maybe not) with the single women out there in their mid to late 20s on anti-depressants.

No thanks!

This is why it is so hard to make friends as an adult. So many people with no passions, hobbies, interests, etc. I don't get it. How are you passionate about NOTHING?

That there isn't any guessing. I know that I have a great wife who puts up with me.

The fringe benefits even after 4 decades are still awesome.

If being normal is cool then I guess I am cool.

It's not like im doing something every single other guy can't do.

It's all very straightforward. I failed a whole lot to learn a bunch of life lessons and now success has found its way.

Being married to a woman 14 years younger than me , my favorite part is when people ask her if I'm her father and she replies "no, but he is my daddy"
