Every school in New Orleans is a charter school. Those schools are selective enrolment. I don't think they are very difficult to get into, but I do think their admission practices discriminate against low socioeconomic kids.

P.S. Very few private schools in NOLA cost 10k a year.

I don't know if any kids from Lakeview that go to public schools either but I know a shite ton of them that go to Lusher, Hynes and Franklin as well as Christian Brothers, Jesuit, Holy Cross, etc.

Which public funded school isn't?

Do you even live in New Orleans?

No. I think St. Leo costs 4600 a year.

In terms of high schools, St. Katherine Drexel is 7600.

You don't seem to know what you're talking about.

Sweetheart, not only do I live in New Orleans but I probably pay more in taxes than you make in a year.

Ben Franklin Elementary, Eleanor McMain Secondary, Mahalia Jackson Elementary, Mary Bethune Elementary, and McDonogh No. 35 have not yet been converted to Charter Schools.

No there is not. Your Lakeview preference is offset by not being poor. It's a wash.

What does your tax rate have to do with whether or not you understand that every tax payer funded school in NOLA is charter?

Btw, I know for a fact at least Bethune is charter. I'm pretty sure all the others are too. Bethune's charter was issued by the OPSB and not the RSD, though.

Ok? It's hard to discuss things with someone who refuses to acknowledge facts.

Have a good one.

Edit: dang. I was wrong. Looks like they pulled the charter applications last week.

My bad.
