I have an uncle who has been married 3 or 4 times but my SIL wins the trophy. My wife thinks she's been married 8 times. When we were at the in laws for Thanksgiving this was the number everyone decided was accurate

I have a friend. Mid-40s. He’s getting married for third time. This is her third marriage too. No pics. You wouldn’t want them. They just got engaged. I would think you would just get married and skip the engagement in their situation. Am I wrong?

You are correct sir.

My cousin is getting married for the 3rd time this weekend. He’s 25. No way I am missing that redneck shite show.

Yeah I'd think you'd just have a small ceremony with family or go elope at that point.

I think my SIL stopped having weddings after #2

My wife has a friend who’s in her mid-30s and currently on marriage #4. She was thrice divorced by the time she hit 30.

#1 and #2 were your typical big weddings. Apparently when she approached her parents about the same thing for wedding #3 they flatly refused. Good on them.

I can support a gift for a second wedding, but a third marriage or more — especially for both parties — does not warrant a gift or anything beyond a small, private ceremony.

I bet they do a wedding registry too like a couple of arse holes.

After 3 weddings and being an adult, I’m so sure they are just starting off with nothing for a house

No shot I’m buying a gift for that, I’ll tell you that much

Just tell the friend, "I'll be sure to get you something extra nice the next time you get married, instead"...and make sure to say it in front of the new fiancé.

The family legend, my great uncle, was married 6 times. He told me he was flying from Atlanta to Los Angeles and "hit it off" with a stewardess.(when that is what they were called)

They got off in Vegas and got married. She was number 4.
