No need for the general public to see it but I hope it's coast and all sides' attorneys get to view it as much as they like. Also I really hope this case isn't heard in Marksville.

I wouldn't be surprised if the AG's office handled the case. It seems like the powers that be want white gloves on this case.

I certainly doubt anything will happen to the officers regardless of how the facts shake out.
A dead six year old is going to make this case very difficult to sweep under the rug.
This whole situation is a prime example of small towns not needing to have a police department.

I think the General public needs to see it. If you want to restore faith in Law Enforcement, you've got to be as transparent as possible. We're dealing with some of the same stuff up here, where officer related cases are reviewed by a panel and the results are sealed. You don't build a lot of faith doing that.

You make a good point there

It seems like the 4 marshals have retained counsel and are refusing to make statements to LSP regarding what happened. It's pretty telling where this case is headed...
LINK
quote:
State Police investigators tried to interview four Marksville City Marshals the night of the shooting that left a child dead, but they refused to be interviewed, a spokesman said Friday.
"Initially, they gave a brief statement," said Master Trooper Scott Moreau, spokesman for Troop E. "Other than that, they refused any interview that night."
The four marshals now have retained counsel, and so State Police investigators are speaking to their attorneys, trying to arrange interviews with them.

There should be no 5th for officers in the line of duty, they're already guilty in my opinion.
I would also abolish all City Marshals, Constables, and every municipal police force under 100k population. This needs to be professional Sheriff's department business. It's nothing but a revenue force joke.

According to the link, Few had a previous DUI.
PURE SPECULATION:
This guy had a couple of beers while playing pool and then went to pick up his son. He sees the flashing lights and panics because of any, or all, of the below listed reasons:
- he's in violation of his probation from the first DUI
- a 2nd DUI fricks up his Coast Guard licensing
- a DUI with the kid in the car violates the terms of his custodial agreement.
If any of my speculation turns out to be true, it still doesn't justify the cops shooting him and/or his son, but it may explain why he tried to evade (if he actually did run).

Sounds like a good reason to dump a few magazines into the vehicle

It's possible, but IIRC it was his stepfather that said he was charged with DUI- said nothing about conviction, pretrial, etc.
Also, just because he played pool doesn't mean he was drinking. At this point I think the dad has way more legitimacy than the marshals. Of course that's speculation too

I'll just sit here and wait for LNCHBOX to come and explain to us all why that proves nothing and these cops were just doing their duty to protect and serve the public when they pumped multiple rounds into the head & chest of a 6 year old little autistic boy.

They served and protected him for sure

Isn't Sabi a lawyer? They advise the general public to do this why wouldn't they advise police to do the same?
I think it shows guilt and they know they fricked up

At this point in the process, anyone and everyone appears to have more legitimacy than the Marshals.
This case is sounding more and more like NOPD's Danzinger Bridge shootout. The cops lit up a bunch of civilians and then fabricated a BS story to cover their asses.

If they fricked up I hope they don't get thrown in some federal prison to protect them since they were cops...they deserve to be thrown in with all the pos's in regular prison...why protect cops that go to prison?

Try your best to ignore Strannix. Based on his other posts in this thread, he seems like one sick piece of shite. Like he gets off on the graphic description of a child's death.

I agree with this 100%.

My only premise in this whole thread is to wait for facts. I never claimed to know what happened or who did what. Sorry you're such a gaping vagina that it bothers you so much that you make the second call out of me on this. Perhaps if you stopped putting words in my mouth, you might actually get what I say instead of just trying to make a point.
