Maybe he was pulling over to a better lit spot. "Drove away" could mean drive away to a better lit/more crowded spot. Or to a dead end street where there was no possibility of chase.

This looks to be a case where the officers involved could see significant jail time. It will be interesting to see if the trials are moved out of the parish.

But who do you believe- the marshals who have lied about:
-Being shot at
-Dodging a car backing up at them
-Serving nonexistent warrants
-having jurisdiction in the area
Or do you believe the gf who so far has lied about nothing.
Who is more believable?

It's possible that all parties in this case are lying but I'm not ready to throw dirt on a guy in critical condition whose son is dead.
I certainly doubt anything will happen to the officers regardless of how the facts shake out.

I sincerely hope the officers who shot were in fact actually on duty. I also hope that if there is no dashcam footage it's because there is no dashcam in those cars. Not because they werent turned on.

I think you misunderstood me. I believe the girlfriend watched Few drive away- to a better lit or more populated area. I really doubt the girlfriend thought the marshals would kill him, though I think looking back she sees that now. If she did think that I don't think she would have let him go, especially with the kid in the car. She obviously is the key link to all of this- I would be very careful about who I spoke to if I were her. I can think of at least 4 people who would be happy if she didn't say anything.
