Yeah, I’m a snowflake because I don’t want someone doing illegal drugs around my kid...

I don’t smoke, but support legalization. With legalization comes responsibility. Smoke weed in a bar or in your home, not where kids are present. I know responsibility and all, what a bitch...

Explaining to my 10yr old that someone is doing an illegal drug and being disrespectful to others around them isn’t a pleasant conversation to have in the middle of an event. Additionally, I should have conversations about drugs on my timeline, not because some inconsiderate frick is being inconsiderate.

Do you feel the need to have that conversation with him about the adults around him drinking a beer?

Do you also have a problem with tailgating at sports events?

Trashy parents are the norm.

Is it like this in y’all’s social circles as well?

Yes

My group of friends are early to mid 30s at this point. All are educated and many are highly successful in their careers. Pot is officially normalized.

I'm assuming you've never brought your kid to a sporting event, or Mardi Gras, or anywhere else where drinking is the norm.

With shooting your load into a woman comes responsibility. Teaching your kids, making sure they know the difference between right and wrong, telling them to make good choices. I know parenting and all, what a bitch...

We’ve had that conversation when we’ve been in an environment that she’s witnessed people imbibing to excess, yes.

If I take my daughter to an LSU game, somewhere where I know people will be drinking, we have that conversation. When I take my kid to the damn zoo, or to a kids centric environment why would I? I’m not bringing my kid to a bar where excessive drinking is to be expected.

Same thing with weed. Why is legalization not enough? Why must it be doing bong rips outside of a fricking wiggles concert? Should I go to the zoo and drop F bombs around a bunch of kids because it’s legal? Common courtesy and decency is all...

I shouldn’t have to have that conversation at the zoo or at an amusement park or anything kid centric.

Well, that's kind of the point of my question. As more and more states legalize it, it's going to become more and more prevalent in public spaces, including kid centric ones. Most people will still try to be discreet and use vapes or edibles, but even those can give off a slight odor.

But in an illegal state, it should be an easy conversation. "That guy is breaking the law smoking marijuana and could easily be arrested for it." Most kids have a fear/respect for police and will get the message.

Because parenting is a 24/7 job.

You'd think after 10 years you'd understand this.

So you make generalizations and assumptions about my ability to parent and or my child’s ability to know right from wrong because I don’t want people smoking weed around my kid. Wtf...

My daughter is an honors student, well read, very active in the community, plenty of activities, and we’ve had plenty of talks, even at 10 about drugs, alcohol, etc. That doesn’t mean it’s okay for you to go all cheech and Chong in front of kids, fricker.

So it doesn’t effect you at all then. Normal business as usual.

Take it up with the zoo that is selling the beer because that’s the only way to keep the doors open

The word frick is just a word.

I never said you weren't a good parent. I'm simply pointing out that it's not the world's responsibility to monitor their use of a completely legal product for the sake of you not having to explain it to your kid. You chose to have kids, those who did not choose to have kids don't have to change their life to make things easier on you.

And I don't smoke, I just profit off the industry. fricker.
