Manhunt of armed suspect at Highland and Burbank

Louisiana State Police were in a vehicle pursuit with a man, before he left the vehicle and fled on foot. It is not known where the vehicle was left at the time of this post. Police say the suspect is armed with a weapon.
No additional information about the suspect has been released.
The East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office and the Baton Rouge Police Department are assisting Louisiana State Police in the search. According to Louisiana State Police, a K-9 unit is also being used in the search.
The area where the suspect is being pursued is large, however law enforcement said that the area is near the Burbank Drive, Highland Road and Lee Drive area.
This is a developing story and will be updated as more information becomes available.
