Half of the time when I pass them up they have their face buried in a cellphone. And boy does that get my jimmies rustled.
ETA: imagine how much better interstate traffic would be without cell phones.

I saw a cop sitting at the end of the on ramp the other day, but sadly I didn't get to see him pull anyone over.
My favorite day was when a state trooper was in the left lane and he saw one of the tards cross the white lines to pass everyone. The trooper pulled out in front of the guy, got out of his car and and yelled " get your arse back in line"

Very simliar method I use for the impatient asses.
Line of cars are in the left lane trying to get past a slower driver in the right. We probably doing 75 or so at this point and here comes Jeff Gordon swirving into the right lane and thinks he's going to pass 5 cars on the right and zip in front at the last second. Nope, I will slow down or speed up to get him trapped and then he's stuck in the right lane for a while waiting for everyone to pass the slow guy.

In Europe, flashing your brights is the signal to get over. That's what I try to do. Flash my lights.
I just cannot understand why people get in the left lane and then refuse to get over later when they can. Passing on the right is not the best way to go about it.
Get over. IF you're doing the speed limit or under, GET OVER.
If you're vehicle isn't capable ... then don't get in the left lane.
This is one of my all-time pet peeves. IF there is open road ahead of you, and you're doing 68 in a 70 and there is a line of cars behind you.... they are waiting on YOU to get over so they can move quicker.
It's really simple here.
3 Lanes of traffic.
Far right lane is for getting on and exiting. Also for the much slower traffic like 18 wheelers.
The middle lane is for traffic and for merging into near ramps for on-coming traffic to get into the right lane. The middle lane is also for the speed-limit guys. 70 in a 70.
The left hand lane is faster traffic.
Get over when you see someone behind you that wants to go faster. Move over and let him get his speeding ticket.

In my experience, the biggest offenders have no clue that there is a line of cars behind them. The oblivious driver is the culprit in most cases. I don't think most people are being assholes on purpose.

Roll window down. Move to an appropriate distance behind them. Flash light and sound horn. Stick arm out of the window above roof line and show them my Glock WHILE MAKING MOTION WITH MY ARM POLITELY INDICATING THEY NEED TO MOVE OUT OF THE WAY.

I get as close as possible to their bumper and ride their butt for a while. Then if they don't get the message, pass them on the right and cut in front of them.

I usually pull a PIT maneuver on them.
If they survive the crash, they usually learn their lesson not to hang out in the left lane.

Yesterday evening, I'm going down Airline Hwy
Right lane- pickup pulling a trailer 55 mph
left lane- a frick face texting going 54 mph
They were oblivious to how many cars were behind them....unbelievable

Happy story.
Driving in north carolina in left lane.
Flash high beams.
Nada.
Again.
Again.
Pull into right lane and remain 2 mph below speed limit.
And then the miracle happens.
Another car that was behind us pulls up behind slow driver. Flashes high beams once.
Slow driver in fast lane does not pull over. 2nd car turns on his police car lights and pulls the slow one over for ticket and lesson on yeilding left lane.
Oh glorious moment.

The only ticket I've had here in the city, I was coming home from an old job in Indiana at around 11 pm on I-64. Some drunk dick was in the left lane going about 10 under the speed limit, swerving all over the place. I sped up and got over in the right lane so I could go around him. Cop clocked me going 20 over as I was speeding up to pass. I got out of the ticket in court, but it was ridiculously infuriating.
