I’m trying to make it one more week before I cave and spend $6 grand on tickets for my kids and wife.

will admit however as a mid 30s baw I don’t understand the Taylor Swift hype

What is there not to understand? She makes catchy music that appeals to girls who love pop music. And she has been doing it for what? 3 decades? So she has fans that range in age. I assume she puts on a good show for those who like her music.

Why were New Kids on the Block popular or N'SYNC or all of those other boy bands? And those boy bands only were not around long enough to appeal to many people as Swift.

Make catchy songs, brand yourself to appeal to a certain group and put on an entertaining show and people will want to listen and see you in concert.

And her political views.. All that did was get people who took it person to sell their tickets to people who were not able to get tickets at first.

Question about her “endorsement”… has it been like one instagram post or has she been getting into politics at her shows, etc.?

Her show has absolutely zero reference to politics. I have no clue what she’s done beyond that, nor do I care.

I don’t align with Kid Rock politically, but you bet your arse I’m rocking my oakleys and wife beater when Bawitabaw (that’s how I spell it don’t challenge me) comes on.

As your resident Swiftie I can assure there is nothing about Kamala at the show mentioned at all.

Nor is it all over her Instagram or social media. Those accounts are being for other things she has up her sleeves.

Nooooo. I couldn't justify buying tickets twice and I went in Atlanta.

I'll be streaming, just like I'm watching Miami night 3 right now.

The easiest way as a red blooded baw is to look at the Swifties IS like its a sports team for women. The concerts are the games. The irrational fandom. The media firestorm. The merch.

It’s one thing bawettes have that’s similar, so I say let them live

Honestly: I’m not a crazy fan or anything, I’ve only seen the show twice. I do respect her talent and think she’s a great lyricist and performer.

But I get why people are agape at the cost of the tickets. It’s an insane amount of money.

But It’s one hell of a show she puts on too.

Here you go!

For those who don't "get it" look at it this way. She's been making music for 20+ years, so some of us have listened to her for half our lives. She has over 240 songs, and the radio Taylor isn't close to her real talent. She's insane. She's been touring since what april 2023 and no show has been the same. I still don't think she's played every song. She does an acoustic set every night, and it's a surprise! So no one knows what they are getting.

She's fun because she interacts with fans by dropping easter eggs so we can clown around on when she will drop new things. I mean the woman wrote a lyric into a song about being pregnant spefiscally to get fan reaction videos to laugh at and stuff. That's funny!

Don't know why she felt the need to jump in that arena. Maybe to appear more mature and adult? I gave my 24 y/o daughter grief about going last night, she pouted and left. All I said was there was a 60/40 chance that sitting next to her at the concert will be a group of middle school girls and their parents. That said, she is a conservative who is voting for Trump, so not sure if the Swift/Kamala endorsement will move the needle.

That's the best way I heard it described before, especially with the stadium tour. It's our sports team and she's the QB.

People get all wrapped around the axle about politics of performers; I don't GAS.

I wouldn't care to talk to Don Henley in person, but I've seen The Eagles a bunch of times, and we'll see them again at The Sphere.
