Texas

A Texas man beat and stabbed his 1-year-old son to death in the courtyard of an apartment complex Sunday -- despite a valiant attempt to stop the brutal assault by a neighbor who heard screams and grabbed his gun, police said.

The father was arrested and taken to a hospital for the gunshot wound. It’s unclear what prompted the attack. The neighbor who fired his gun will not face criminal charges, officials said.

There should have never been an arrest. I don’t give a frick of the mental state of a person killing a child or what drugs they are on they should die on the spot.

Yeah. My tax dollars will go towards healing this guy then prosecuting and imprisoning/institutionalizing him, when all they had to do was shoot him again.

Hmm, brilliant play by killer dad. Hates his life and kid and wants them dead, does deed while screaming Jesus is Coming to build defense of mental incompetence to avoid death sentence. Gets sent to nut house for life on taxpayers dime vs. getting the needle. At least this is how it would be on Law & Order.

Only hitch was neighbor with gun doing the right thing, too bad the shooter didn't aim a little better though.

Agreed. There is no coming back from such a horrific act..... nothing left after that.
