A homeless man who has faced charges approximately 200 times before was booked into Ouachita Correctional Center Tuesday for theft.

According to an arrest report for Timothy Butler, 48, the suspect was inside the Walmart on Louisville early Tuesday morning. He reportedly concealed $52.78 worth of merchandise down the leg of his pants and attempted to exit the store.

The report states Butler is banned from Wal-Mart and has been for over 20 years. It cites repeated arrests for shoplifting and trespassing with 130 prior arrests for theft and 70 prior arrests for trespassing.

This is why 3 and out was invented.

Surely 20 should be considered reasonable.

Some guys in the north do minor crimes in winter to get 3 hots and cot.

I check the mugshots everyday for my clients. There's a homeless guy who gets arrested at least once a week for public drunkenness or vagrancy or something. I know his face and his name.

I was out downtown and saw him in person the other night and I wonder how he would have felt if I would have just walked up to him and started speaking to him by name and acting like I knew him.

The most recent criminal action on file in 4th Judicial District Court indicates Butler was sentenced to one year of unsupervised probation and 30 days on one count of trespassing following the filing of a bill of information on March 5, 2014
Looks like the probation stopped him from stealing and trespassing after the 199th arrest. Good job judge
