It was a bulldog. I was kind of hoping you were going to say a rottweiler or pit or doberman. Something. You might as well said shitzu. A bulldog snapping is pretty funny actually.

So after 4 years and no incidents you had to make a precautionary move like that.

Hmmmm

He didn't shoot the dog to teach it a lesson.

Yeah and mine wasn't put down.

Eta that dog lived another 8 years after that incident and never so much as growled at anyone again.

So I'm still interested how we went from peeing in the yard to being buried in it. Did your son touch him? Try to pick him up?

Yes. You've been bitten. I have a small child and very young nieces that are in my home regularly. I can't have a dog in the house that can't be trusted. Could've given it away I suppose, but what about when it bites someone else?

Neither did I. I did it to prevent a serious incident.

Sounds like you should make the precautionary move of not having any dogs until your kids get old enough to know better on how to treat dogs.

Ever heard of kids pulling a dogs tail and the dog biting because of it?

He opened the kennel door and was unsnapping her leash from her harness. Same thing has happened many times without incident. And this isn't a rough kid or a bad kid. He wasn't doing anything wrong.

I didn't suggest that happened.

I was offering a non lethal precautionary measure for you.

SIAP. Not reading 12 pages. Man everytime.

Your gonna get a fricked up arm. But once you GRAB a dog and it knows it's grabbed? It's running. If not you get him on his side and drop knees until you run out of ribs to break.

I don't know if a dog continues to attack if it gets attacked back? Unless it's after prey and pretty damned hungry. Even a police dog? Will it continue to attack? Or will it just evade and re attack to protect its master?

But you did suggest/insinuate that my son may have not known how to handle the dog, and that's incorrect.

Ok, so we have a 4 year old dog being put into the kennel by your 10 year old son. Like he has done a hundred times before. One day the bulldog snaps at your son during this process then chases him across the house. Presumably to maul and kill him. You then grab said bulldog and drag it outside and shoot it. Is there anything missing here?

Know I read that you have a small child. In my head that means around 3 years old.
