Not at all the same. Come on now. I'm being sensible.
In response to your other post, I've raised many dogs from many strong breeds in my lifetime and only ever had one dog actually go after a family member.

All the bickering aside, I genuinely hope I never read a thread by you about your kids being injured by a dog bc their dad was too much of a fricking idiot to do the right thing and protect them.
Stupid comment. I'm aware of what a dog can do and have taught my kids how to act around them.

You have to be a special kind of pussy to put a dog above your kids' safety.
No ones said that so stop moving the goalpost muchacho.

You're really not being sensible at all. You're being an Internet tough guy.

I'm still trying to understand what kind of man drags a dog outside and shoots it in the head for snapping. Was the dog being actively aggressive? Was it trying to bite you and your kids and your wife? If you dragged a submissive dog outside to kill it, well................. I don't know man.

As have I. The incident we had was completely unprovoked. Could've happened to anyone and could've been ugly. I took action to make sure she never got the chance to do it again.

And my dads dog was provoked. So I'm still stupid and a pussy and endangering lives?
Come the frick on and get over yourself.

I sincerely hope none of your kids ever makes a mistake like wrecks a car. It'll be outside and a bullet for them too I guess. Sheesh.
eta: So tell me what exactly happened so I can understand. What kind of dog? What was your kid doing exactly? How old was the dog and how old was the kid? How did it all go down? Help me understand.

In case I wasn't clear the whole time...
Getting ready to leave. 10 year old son took the dog to pee and then attempted to put her in her kennel. Done the same thing a million times. She snapped at him, he jumped back, she snapped again so he bolted across the room and she gave chase. He made it to his room and shut the door. I grabbed the dog and gun and took care of the problem.

So now it was provoked. My apologies. All you said before was that you tried to discipline it.

Yeah you're still not clear on what type of dog.

Dogs are stupid. When you try to hit a dog and miss, it doesn't know any better than to defend itself.

That's actually pretty reactionary and psychotic. There's a whole section for people like you in the DSM.
