Umm, the victim? He was clearly a volunteer.

He was clearly looking for a way to die. Sikh and you shall find.

A stray dog even attempted to go after the bear by barking at it, but Bhatara could not be saved.

Bear was probably thinking,

"Great, easiest lunch I have ever had...ewwwww, too much curry."

remember when death videos like this were once taboo and relegated to faces of death videos?

now regular news stories proudly show them without prompt embedded within stories

I have a friend who lives on one of the bay islands of Honduras who tells me that whenever there is a murder or suicide, victim of an exploding dive tank, or other gruesome death, the media rushes in to take photos and then places the pics prominently in the news stories about them. Virtually no censorship at all.

6 people (number I counted) could have easily fought off the bear. They didn’t care about that guy

Oh and read another article on it where the family was paid money for funeral expenses by the park, then had other people go protest the park so they could be paid more money. I almost feel like they purposely let this guy die to blackmail this park for money

fricking idiot decides to take a selfie with an injured bear, and proceeds not to play dead while being mauled.

And now the bear will probably be killed.

Pause for a serious thought...

It the OT let's all watch and laugh at someone's death. A great example of where we are as a society. Desensitized.

All right, back to your regularly scheduled program.

I am not trying to get into a huge conversation, but we are just moving back towards the historical mean. For much of history, we had public hangings that kids attended. The Romans watched animals kill people for sport. For most of time, people have been desensitized to this stuff.

I’m glad that you included this insight.

Even if it only saves the life of one OT poster, it was worth mentioning.
