Sure, but you don't have a legal claim to attaining property through illegal means, that's just retarded.

Them having a case is in the details.

You have to be 18 to purchase. He said he sent him to "exchange" scratch tickets.
It some states you can be in possession of a winning ticket but an adult has to claim it for you.

Was the ticket signed? In Washington the signee is owner of said ticket.

There may be loopholes.

I seriously dont get what this world is coming to. Would 5 million dollars really mean that much to you? Isn't knowing you raised an honest law abiding son more important than getting $5 million illegally.

For most people, including OT ballers, 5 million is life-changing money.

Underage = no pay. Same thing in a casino. If the idiot who let his underage son get the ticket would have read the rules he would know that.

What should have happened:
Lottery winner dad:"Hey, my son just got a ticket here that won $5 M. There is a chance they might not pay because he is under age. "

What should have happened:
Lottery winner dad: "Hey, I just got a ticket here that won $5mm".

Unless they check video, and most of those are on a recording loop and would already be recorded over.

Lottery ticket sellers in Ga only pay out to $600. Anything over $600 has to be redeemed at the State lottery office. What moron thinks that a convenience store would redeem 5 million dollar winning ticket? They should forfeit out of sheer stupidity.

I was just working off his quote. Obviously, you can't redeem $5mm at the AM/PM.

Or just waited til they taped over the footage. You got what, like a year to claim a ticket and gas stations keep footage for like a day or two?

The lottery knows exactly what station sold the ticket and at exactly what time. They probably request the video the day after the drawing.

The kid should have told dad and then had dad buy a few more immediately. Then redeem a few weeks later. Boom, no problem.

No way to prove what scratch off won bc they aren't time stamped.

Hell yeah I would try to redeem it. But I wouldn't be stupid enough to tell them it was bought by a minor.

OK, one OTer downvoted this, indicating 5 million was chump change to him. Will that OT giant identify himself?
