Man says he was stung on testicles by scorpion while sleeping at Las Vegas resort

Michael Farchi, of Agora Hills, said he woke up in excruciating pain during his stay at the resort.
“I just felt like somebody stabbing me in my private area,” said Farchi. “It felt like a sharp glass or a knife,” Farchi said. Upon investigation, Farchi said he found the source of the pain.
“I went to the restroom, and I saw a scorpion hanging on my underwear,” Farchi said of the Dec. 26 incident. Afterward, the man and his family checked out early, one day later, on Dec. 27. The hotel compensated him for his room.

I once got stung just below the arse cheek by a red wasp when I was at one of the Disney water parks. I didn't know I had a lawsuit opportunity.

If you have ever lived out West, these things do get everywhere and they will 100% sting the frick out of you. I had to learn (the hard way) to shake my shoes out every morning before putting them on.
As far as this dude, he can pretty much forget a lawsuit once he accepted the free room. He has accepted compensation. He should have at least asked for a week in a suite, they probably would have gladly agreed.

The other house I owned in Oklahoma was one golf course and there were small scorpions every fricking where. You couldn't keep them out of the house.
You had to walk where you were stepping on carpet because I stepped on several and got sting on the bottom of my feet. And one got in my bed and stung me a few times on the elbow.
Those things hurt. Not for very long but for that short period of time, the intensity of the pain rivals about anything.

Yeah, I knew a guy who went out of his way to hang his shoes up with the toes facing up on something elevated. I asked him about it and he said when he lived in a desert climate he had a scorpion crawl into his shoe for a nap and when he put the shoe on it stung him. Said it was the worst pain of his life and he will never leave his shoes on the ground again.

When I used to be a workin man went pee behind our shop on the fence (covered in vines/shrubs) and was stung right on the head by a wasp. Was surprised that it swole like it did, but used it as a reason to show a friend and ask for her nurse friend to take a look for medical advice
