QQ, Is Louisiana law still based solely on Statutes and not precidents? I think that was the basis for civil v common. SO IN that case, our laws aren't affected by findings in other jurisdictions. for better or worse.

Sounds like he roughed her up when she just wanted regular sex. I'm not sure sex offender registration is warranted, considering the long term impact to his life, but some consequence was definitely warranted (based on the info in the article).
