Dude was on tv explaining why he did it. They've had issues before. He had seen the guy hovering around when the guy tried to follow him in. The guy claimed he was visiting a friend, but then it turned out he was visiting a friend who was visiting someone else in the building.

Dude didn't do anything wrong. He needs to slap his son and tell him to quit being a little bitch.

Who doesn't agree with a little child abuse as a good way to raise children.

My dad put cigarettes out on my arm and made me the man I am today.

This dude sounds like the epitome of a soy boy.

People like him are the worst of current SJW society. Threatening to make him the next "guy on TV."

If you think a guy is being unreasonable, call your fricking friend and prove the guy wrong. Make him look stupid. Then the belligerent act at the end, he deserved to be knocked the frick out.

Maybe the guy is a racist, but for jackasses to assume that someone should just let you into their building to wait is ridiculous.

I hated it at my old apartment when assholes would tailgate in the gate with their cars. It's a safety issue and the gate is there for a reason.

The problem is that some people don't give a crap and let them in, so if you do what is right and stand up to them, you are the issue and not them.

It is hard to say if this was a race issue without seeing what lead to this situation, etc. With that said, I think it became pretty clear, early in the video that the black dude wasn't a threat and the dude was just being a bitch by calling the police..

What could the police have done in that situation? If the police did come out, it would likely result in the wasting of everyone's time.

It doesn't look good when your 5-6 year old kid is telling you he agrees with the guy you are calling the cops on and that he just needs to leave. Software engineers don't really present themselves in the most threatening way, but they are not afraid to come off as if they are smarter than everyone else..

So I could see this being a situation where the cop caller approached the software engineer in away that was questionable as to whether he was profiling him.. And the software engineer said something to the cop caller that came off like a complete smart arse. So the dude decided he was going to call the cops on this "smart arse" and then the software engineer was all like "well since you called the cops, I am going to put it on youtube that you are racist".

So tell me, how can you tell that a person you don't know has good intentions and is not "a threat"? Also, who do you think is going to be held responsible when you let a stranger into your apartment building and he commits a crime?

e dude was just being a bitch by calling the police..

Don't think so. The guy filming wouldn't leave him alone and was trying to breach the security measures at the apartment. He didn't have to call the police and could have just shut the door and walked away, which is probably what I would have done unless the guy followed me.

Are you saying that adults should take the advice of children when it comes to making adult decisions.

Why does his occupation matter, as if he could even verify that anyway?

The only true racists are liberals black and white. This is a well known fact.

If it can be verified, it matters. It’s all part of profiling.

Statistically, the guy on gov assistance is a bigger threat than the programmer.

I also stumbled across a similar incident from last year, and the person who tried to block the stranger from tailgating was fired from her job for "racial profiling." I hope she sued the hell out of them for wrongful termination.

I just watched this second video you posted.

Dude, did you even watch it yourself? It’s not the same situation at all since the guy actually lived there. The woman literally followed him to his unit, watched him open and enter his own apartment, and then had the gall to still be suspicious.

She probably didn’t deserve to get fired, but I’m not sure if she can do anything since Georgia is an at-will state (I think).

That actually happened in Missouri, but still

Lol... this is 100% racial profiling...
So, if you live in an apartment complex, gated community, or building with limited access, you must let every black person in regardless of if they do not have credentials to gain entrance?

Why have security measures then?

You’re a tard.

Sure, but why even bother with trying to get this information when you don't need to? There shouldn't be anything wrong with telling someone to let themselves in or call whoever they are there to see and have them let them in.

No, and the black guy is completely wrong here. I personally would have just waited outside for the friend.

Yes...It's not exactly the same but the premise is. How was she supposed to know that what he was telling her was true? All he had to do was use his key fob against the reader to show her he lived there. Instead, he took the SJW route and refused to do it and assumed she wouldn't let this person she didn't know gain access because of skin color. I think he showed her his key, which doesn't really prove anything...lots of key fobs look alike.

Probably? She definitely didn't deserve to get fired for doing what the apartment management asks her to do for safety.

I'm sure the douche filming her wouldn't mind her letting anyone and everyone through the door to come rob his place while he's away.

I would have alerted security or police if a person forced their way in. Her following him was just confirming that he lived there, which she tried to do at the very beginning. That was stupid because if he didn't live there then she put herself at risk.

She actually wasn't suspicious at the end of the video but tried to make amends by introducing herself.

I watched again and I agree

Once again, not how I would have reacted if I was him. I can somewhat understand not wanting to tell her the apartment # since it could be a safety thing.

But yeah I actually missed the part where the apartment was fob entry. You’re right, it makes it nearly as bad as the original story in that case.

Your statements make more sense now. I can see how you’d feel that way if the building entrance wasn’t key fob protected.

Because it is asinine to say that a person who lives in a community secured by a locked door should somehow also be the gatekeeper of that door based on how they perceive people who are trying to gain access without credentials. It’s very simple. Don’t let people in if you don’t know that they live there. Unless you want to be responsible for possible repercussions of that decision. Many real life examples have already been provided in this thread, including murder! But hey, if he looks decent to you, just give him access to everyone’s homes in the community, because you obviously have some godlike power of determining if strangers will commit crimes or not.

If you have to ask why that is dumb, then there is no hope for you.

Please enlighten all of us how you will determine a strangers worthiness of gaining access.
